ComView V1.1
by John Prass
Release date April 1996
General Description
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comview was written as an offline viewer for the electronic comic book series
NanoWars. However, Comview is an excellent general purpose utility to create
your own multimedia books, slideshows and presentations.
Simply build a data file [ascii text] that contains the file names of your
graphics. A separate sound file can also be attached to each graphics page,
allowing you to add a "soundtrack" to your visual display.
ComView Quick Start
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Unzip COMVIEW.ZIP to a directory of your choice.
2. Unzip the included EXAMPLES.ZIP to the same directory.
3. Use the Windows Run Option to execute "COMVIEW.EXE TEST.DAT"
This will load a sample data file displaying two graphics.
An alternative way to do this: Run ComView, when prompted,
load the data file TEST.DAT using the dialog box.
Version Info
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 1.0 04/11/96 Initial Release
Version 1.1 04/19/96 Maintenance Upgrade
Items Corrected:
1. Fixed problem where the "about" and "Slide Show Delay" buttons didn't
re-enable after loading a new file when the previous file had only
one entry.
2. Fixed problem where the slide show continuously re-displayed the same
image when a single image data file was loaded while the slide show
was active.
3. Fixed problem where the "Last Page" menu item did not disable on the
last image while slide show was running. If you stopped the slide
show on the last image and used this menu item, it caused an error.
4. Fixed bug where "Slide Show" button and menu item did not gray when
Slide Show Looping was turned off while on the last image.
5. Recompiled help file to work with windows 3.1 help system.
Changes:
1. Made Slide show looping on by default
2. Made Slide show delay 0 by default.
